Tender Care Day Nursery is at 91-93 Canterbury Road, Croydon, CR0 3HH. The nursery caters for children aged 3 months to 5 years old and can cater for 74 children at any one time. The nursery is close to Thornton Heath, Norbury and Purley Way – accessible via many bus routes. See our fees and funding and meals, or contact us to arrange a visit.
We have 3 rooms specifically designed with your child in mind; Big Panda’s Room for our 3-5 year olds, Little Lamb’s for our 2-3 year olds and Baby Dolphin’s for our 0-2 year olds – each room is themed accordingly and has a range of resources to specifically aid the development of the children within that room. This nursery boasts impressive facilities including two outdoor spaces, a sensory room, an ICT room and two indoor physical jungle gym structures.
The management team at Canterbury is highly experienced in childcare, particularly within the Croydon borough and therefore has in depth knowledge of its supporting teams for parents, children, additional needs and disabilities and safeguarding which in turn ensures that every child receives the best possible support through their learning journey.
What we offer
ICT Room
Our ICT room features laptops, computers and an interactive audio touch table which enables multiplayer games, storytelling and rhyme sing-alongs.
Sensory Room
The Sensory Room has a light-up ball pit, microphone, sensory cave, bubble panel, relaxation area and much more!
Outdoor Water Feature
The water feature gives children hours of fun whilst also developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination (through pouring, squirting, scrubbing, stirring and squeezing!)

Where is Tender Care Day Nursery?
We are at 91-93 Canterbury Road, Croydon, CR0 3HH. The nursery is close to Thornton Heath, Norbury and Purley Way, and very close to West Croydon, East Croydon and Selhurst train stations.
What ages do you take?
We care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Baby Dolphin’s Room is for our 0-2 year olds, Little Lamb’s Room for 2-3 year olds and Big Panda’s Room for 3-5 year olds.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Do you accept funded places?
Yes. We accept funded childcare places for children aged 9 months to 4 years old, including the 15-hour entitlement and the 30-hour working parent entitlement. Our pricing page has the session times and fees.
Are meals included?
We offer three meals a day, breakfast, lunch and tea, with a snack in between. Meals are included in the full day and half day prices. Our own cooks prepare them.
Is there parking near the nursery?
We are on residential roads and although there is ample parking, the area is mostly pay and display. If you will be here for longer than dropping off or picking up, it is recommended you get a pay and display ticket.
